Free ringtones come in more varieties than 30-second snippets of a song you have to pay to obtain. Some of the options for free ringtones include top hit songs from the radio, TV show theme songs, funny sounds, and favorite sayings.
- Radio Songs
Whether your music genre of choice is country, top 40, pop, rock, or oldies, you can find a free ringtone to fit the bill. The newer the song is, the less likely it is that you will find the ringtone for free.
- TV Show Theme Songs
Some of your favorite songs may be theme songs to TV shows. Again, the older the TV show, the better your chances are of finding the theme online as a free ringtone.
- Funny Sounds
Free ringtones also come in a variety of funny noises and sounds. Some of them are so funny that when your phone starts “ringing” you’ll see people all around you wondering what the noise is and where it is coming from.
- Favorite Sayings
Whether you’re a child of the ’60, ‘70s, ‘80s or ‘90s, each era has its own set of lingo. You can find phrases, sayings, or expressions from certain time periods in the form of free ringtones. Imagine your phone saying “Dynomite” as it alerts you that someone is calling.
