Come to think of it, half of the people in the United States must be wasting their Friday nights right along with her. However, it was recently reported that the Russians know who bombed that Moscow airport and it wasn’t Sarah Palin.

Charlie Sheen – No brainer. This guy is addicted to Creeps because he is one. The only thing scarier than a monster in your closet is Charlie Sheen in your bedroom. Actually, he probably ought to keep playing this computer game on Friday nights because it’s better for his reputation than doing business with escorts and hitting his wife. It’s also a healthier addiction.

Mel Gibson – If there were only one computer or iPhone in Hollywood, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen would probably fight over Creeps, so let’s give Mel his own Friday night tower defense game. A man with so many delusions probably plays Zombie Attack and chances are he really believes those ghouls exist. Unfortunately, the dehumanizing epithets he’s probably shrieking at the Zombies are being used against every minority he’s ever encountered.

Billy the Exterminator – What a strange guy. So redneck, yet so knowledgeable about bugs and creepy crawlies. It’s the crazy studded uniform that makes it a dead giveaway that this guy spends his Friday nights playing that girlie tower defense sensation, Garden War. If anyone would know how to build a backyard tower maze to defeat bugs, it’s this guy. You can bet he’s a champion. His mama probably plays this game too.

Okay. You get the idea. There are so many tower defense games to play that it’s undeniable that every brand of weirdo and loser in the world must have one he or she is obsessed with- and it’s also light enough that EVERYONE can play meaning, those with true geekalicious gaming laptops, or those with netbooks.

Happily, most of us are obsessed and that means…we could be weird too.

Being an astronaut is a job comparable to nothing else in the world. While you might never dunk a basketball or lead a country, you would have the opportunity of traveling through space. That’s not your ordinary profession. So here are some reasons why you should become an astronaut.

You are Built for Space

A lot of people don’t know but there is a height range for flying in space. Pilots must be between 5 foot 4 inches and 6 foot 4 inches. Mission specialists must be between 4 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 4 inches. It also helps if you have been keeping yourself in peak physical condition. Space travel is not for the lazy man or woman.

Because you are Good at Science

While the requirements to travel above the earth can be long, they all start with a background in science. So if you are the college-age student and still undecided on a major, any of the sciences will serve as a big help. Once you have finished college, getting your Masters won’t hurt either.

Because you Love the Idea of Flying

Maybe the best requirement to becoming an astronaut is that you get to have 1,000 hours logged of being a jet commander. While this requirement is really only specific to the mission pilot, isn’t it a cool enough requirement for you to go after yourself?

Because you Love Houston

If you live in the Houston area, or have thought about getting out to the Houston area, NASA is a great reason to go. Anyone who gets selected to be part of the space program will automatically be send to Houston for at least one year, maybe two. It’s not an easy way to train, but it is effective. Space is not for the weak or the lazy.

Because the Next Five Years Sounds Promising

The good news for the hopefuls who pass through the NASA training. They get to remain with NASA for at least five years. So while it’s hard to go through the program, you are offered a security that most jobs can’t match.

Because you are Bilingual

While this is not a requirement to be a NASA astronaut, it’s much preferred. These days everything is international. Having the mastery of multiple languages will give you a leg up over the few that are selected.

Because you Want to be one of the Privileged

Think getting a job at the local bank is tough? Try being an astronaut. Over 4,000 applications are filled out each year, and only 20 slots are filled. Getting to be an astronaut literally means you are the best of the best, and you will get to spend the better part of a decade trying to make it to space.

Now, that’s a job worth dreaming about.

Here are some of the most bizarre car concepts that have been in the works between the 2010 and 2011 model years.

1.  Renault DeZir Concept: Renault’s line of concept cars is nothing short of amazing, though it is not uncommon for the brand to release a bizarre trend-bucking model. The Renault DeZir concept was originally revealed during the Paris Motor show in 2010, establishing the newest design language from the automaker. This vehicle features gull-wing doors hinged to opposite sides of each door frame.

2.  Mercedes Cyborg Sensation Concept: Inspired by the F400 concept from Mercedes, this is clearly a futuristic-inspired vehicle known as the Cyborg Sensation Vehicle, CSV or just the Mercedes Cyborg. This is a two-seater with off-roading capabilities and lacks a steering wheel because you can use your mind to control it. The concept relies upon the Brain Computer Interface or BCI, using a specially-designed helmet and brain impulses from the driver to power and control the vehicle.

3.  Ferrari Testarossa 3 Concept: Bringing back inspiration from the 1980s Ferrari Testarossa, the Testarossa 3 concept is a two-seater with a central rear engine and a passionate and sporty shape that is unlike anything else available on the auto market today. Two volumes flow together into one another, forming a shape that can only be described as potent and sinuous with carbon, plastic and aluminum materials and a technologically enhanced interior.

4.  Bertone Pandion Concept: This 2011 concept car is inspired by Alfa Romeo’s 8C and Pininfarina’s spider concept. This concept car combines mathematical principles and organic forms, utilizing algorithmic design, intermingled blades, large upward-swinging doors and a floor that is net comprised of carbon fibers. If you are looking for a vehicle that screams “interesting and bizarre concept,” this is definitely one worth considering.

5.  Porsche 918 Spyder Concept: This is a plug-in Porsche model that was premiered during the Geneva auto show in 2010 and confirmed for production only five months later. This hybrid vehicle produces massive horsepower for what it is, and the V8 engine is supported using two different electric motors powered by lithium-ion batteries. This is a limited edition release that is definitely on the bizarre side compared to Porsche’s typical offering.

6. Bugatti Aerolithe Concept: Reinterpreting styling cues from the 1935 Motor Show in Paris, the new Bugatti Aerolithe concept looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, with aeronautical-inspired scissor doors and a trademark Bugatti grill. This concept vehicle was created for the long-upcoming 2025 model year, so it has a ways to go yet.

Smooth and fast, it’s what people envision themselves to be at the bar after they’ve had a few drinks. But this real gem only drinks gasoline.

4. Lotus Elise SC.

Including a supercharger beneath the hood to boost the horsepower, this model of the tiny Elise has always been a marvel of balance, weight and handling. Additionally, the headlights have an elongated shape that makes most super models pale in comparison. Taking up where the previously abandoned RX-7 left off, Mazda eventually recognized the beauty of their former girlfriend and made up with her. U2

Most of us have heard of U2. However, what many people don’t realize is that they actually formed in high school, and they have stuck together growing into international stardom. U2 was put together in 1976, when 14 year old Larry Mullen, Jr. put an ad on his Dublin school’s bulletin board looking for musicians. The group that was put together that first day of auditions included Paul Hewson, (who would later become known as Bono) on vocals, Adam Clayton on bass, Dave Evans, (who later become known as The Edge) on guitar, with Mullen on drums.

Green Day

Billy Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt met in their elementary school cafeteria, and put together a band called Sweet Children when they were just 15. After high school, they changed the name of the band to Green Day, due to a comment from one of their teachers claiming it would be a “green day in hell” before they made anything out of themselves.

The Beatles

The Beatles were put together by John Lennon in his final year at Liverpool’s Quarry Bank High School. Originally called The Quarrymen, he was joined by Paul McCartney whom he met at a church event. McCartney was attending Liverpool Institute High School For Boys, but they hit it off over their interest in music. They were later joined by a friend of McCartney’s who was also at the Liverpool institute, George Harrison, and the rest as they say, is history.

INXS

Both Andrew Farriss and Michael Hutchence attended Davidson High School in northern Sydney. They met when Farriss was breaking up a school ground fight, and they became fast friends. Farriss had a band already, called Doctor Dolphin with another friend named Garry Beers playing bass. The three were later invited by Andrew’s older brother Tim Farriss to join them in a band of his with friend Kirk Pengilly. Eventually, younger brother Joe Farriss joined them, and they moved to Perth for a year to learn the ropes. The name was INXS was coined, and they went on to international fame.

Genesis

The English Charterhouse School in Surrey was the starting point for rock band Genesis, when students Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford formed the band in 1967. They started playing their own music, as they had originally wanted to be songwriters, when no one else would record it. Eventually they were signed, and became a legendary rock band.

Through perseverance, and some shaky beginnings, they all have become rock bands that all aspiring musicians can look up to. They show what is possible, and that sometimes just a little hard work and determination is what it takes to land a record deal and become a star.
